Hunt Limousin Cow Herd: Ranked in the Top of the Breed
During the Spring 2013 Genetic Evaluation conducted by NALF, two HUNT-owned herd bulls were recognized for their ongoing legacy. HUNT Mr Jock 44J and COLE Wulf Hunt have sired 17 NALF Focus Dams total. Jock was ranked #1 with 11 Focus Dam daughters & Wulf Hunt ranked #6 with 6 Focus Dam daughters.
About the NALF Focus Dam Program:
- Program identifies cows that are superior based on their performance records turned into NALF
- Emphasis is placed on early puberty, breeding and early calving, followed by regularity of calving and above-average performance of the offspring
- Requires a minimum of three calves from a cow to determine regularity of calving and ability to produce superior calves for weaning weight year after year
